Shelf Life: 12 months
Disclaimer: This is an anhydrous product, which means they do not need to be preserved to be sustainable. However, if it comes in contact with light, water, and other forms of bacteria then product shelf life greatly decreases possible bacteria growth and has an increased risk of rancidity.
Caution: Avoid mixture with water as this can significantly decrease shelf life and also make oil susceptible to bacterial growth. Keep out of light, and store in a cool and dry area. Make sure tools, storage and containers are properly sanitized, completely dry, and free from possible contamination.
Once items leave our facility, consumers must add preservatives to the product for different shelf life. Many factors can alter initial shelf-life claims once items are no longer in our controlled facility. It is of utmost importance to handle unpreserved cosmetics properly to avoid contamination and bacteria growth in your consumers. Be sure to discard items that have been possibly contaminated as this is a sign that bacteria growth can occur which would point to mishandling of product from time of delivery. Be sure to remove products from all shipping bags, boxes, etc. to assure the prevention of bacteria contact.
